Building your list of providers
Selecting your provider type
When building out a Field View search, the first thing you will want to do is select your target provider type. The type of provider you choose will be dependent on your use case and target market! Choose between individuals and organizations.
-
Individuals represent physicians (HCPs).
-
Organizations represent healthcare organizations (HCOs). Organizations may include hospitals, physician groups, surgery centers, long term care facilities, clinics, and/or imaging centers.
The filters
There are seven main filters available in the Field View module. You will have the option to use these filters regardless of your desired provider type.
-
Segments (not available for all Carevoyance accounts): Segments are based on the types of providers and organizations that you may want to target to help you quickly build your target list.
-
Lists: Quickly filter by your previously customized list of providers.
-
Location: Drill into specific markets based on city, state, and/or zip code.
-
Specialty: Based on provider taxonomy, this filter allows you to build a list of providers based on their classification.
-
Care Clusters: As the most powerful filter, Care Clusters allow you to build your list of providers based on your entire target patient population. Remember, the Care Clusters in your account are unique to your business needs and are customized and created for you by your Carevoyance team.
-
Time period: Filters patient and claims volumes for the specified year or partial year.
-
Search: Use the search bar to find a particular provider.
Let's take a deeper look into what each of the filters are and how you can use them to build your target list of providers. When applying filters, it is important to remember that your list of results is based on ALL filters you apply. This means that if you layer multiple filters onto your search, your list of results will need to match all applied criteria. Click on the link below to open the Field View Filters Help Center article to get a better understanding of what filters are available in this module.
Pro tip: If your territory has been set up for you, you may not need to apply any additional filters. If you are interested in more information on any filters specific to your use case, please reach out to your designated customer success team.
Exploring your list of providers
Now that we have covered how you can build your target list of providers, let's take a look at the additional features available for you to take advantage of within the Field View module. Below we have outlined the capabilities.
- Filtered by: Expand this feature to view all the filters you applied to your search. Modify your filters by clicking on the 'x' to remove any or select 'Clear All' to start over.
- Sort by: Use the sorting feature to realign your search results. Simply click on any of the filters listed to sort your results by that metric. Pro tip: Use the keyword search to quickly find the metric you want to sort by.
- Export: Click on the export icon to send your search results as a CVS file directly to your inbox. Pro tip: If you cannot click on this icon, that means the data is not exportable.
- Provider selection: Use the check boxes to select one or multiple providers from your search results list. Creating a provider list allows you to save specific individuals, instead of saving the entire search (think of this as a list of your favorite profiles).
- Provider name: Click on any provider name to dive into their profile. Note: Provider profiles are covered in an additional lesson in Definitive University, so be sure to check that out if you want more information on what's available in a profile!
- QuickList: Use the star icon to add a provider or organization to your QuickList. QuickList will compile any and all providers of your choosing, instead of organizing them into separate provider lists. Pro tip: You can access the QuickList from your navigation banner across the top of your screen.
- Reports: Instantly generate interactive reports that show provider case loss, patient treatment destinations, market share, case retention, patient pathways, and much more.
- Search this area: To use this feature, zoom into the area on the map you wish to search. This will work best if you do not have a location filter applied to the search. Once you have the selected area of the map, click search this area to pull up the providers in those locations.
- Radius: By using the radius filter you can either use your current location or draw a circle on the map. Once your location is set, apply the distance in miles you want to search around. This feature works best when no location criteria has been applied to the search.
- Map pins: Each pin on the map tells you the number of providers in that location that meet your search criteria.
- Select a location: You can click into any of the pinned areas on the map to refine your list of providers to those within the selected area.
