Overview
A number of hospital systems choose to consolidate billing for two or more separate facilities under one central facility.
With regard to claims, this means that all claims are submitted through a central facility as if they took place there. The data cannot be further broken down into which procedures and diagnoses occurred at the central facility, and which occurred at another facility.
This may also mean that some facilities appear to be missing from the platform: the root cause is consolidated billing.
